    All the proposals by the Board of Directors were approved at today’s Annual General Assembly of Swissgrid Ltd. A dividend of around CHF 48.2 million will be distributed for the 2022 financial year. The amendments to the articles of incorporation were approved, but still require the consent of the Federal Council.

    In spring 2023, Swissgrid and SBB submitted a planning application for the replacement of the high-voltage submarine cables between Brusino and Morcote. A total of six Swissgrid and two SBB cables will be replaced along the cable route, which is 2.8 km long.

    The grid connection for the Birr reserve power plant has been ready since 24 February 2023. Swissgrid set up the grid connection in record time. The Federal Council has enacted various measures to increase security of supply in winter. Among other things, it has tasked Swissgrid with establishing the grid connection for the Birr reserve power plant.
